Vision

The vision of the Kandra Radha Kanta Kundu Mahavidyalaya Alumni Association is to foster a dynamic and engaged alumni community that contributes to the holistic development of the college and its students. We aim to create a nurturing environment where alumni can support and inspire current students, enhance their academic and personal growth and contribute to the institution’s sustainability and prosperity. Through our collective efforts, we envision our alumni association as a catalyst for educational excellence, community service and environmental stewardship, especially in our remote and rural setting.

 

Mission

Our mission is to build a robust network of alumni who are dedicated to the welfare and development of Kandra Radha Kanta Kundu Mahavidyalaya and its students. We strive to:

1. Enhance student health and well-being through various initiatives and support systems.

2. Promote environmental awareness and sustainability within the college and surrounding community.

3. Support academic excellence and provide mentorship to students.

4. Foster a sense of community and belonging among alumni, students and faculty.

5. Encourage lifelong learning and professional development among alumni.

As President of the Kandra Radha Kanta Kundu Mahavidyalaya Alumni Association, I am immensely proud of our collective achievements since our inception. Our initiatives, including enriching the college library, community support during the pandemic and infrastructural improvements, demonstrate our unwavering commitment to student and community welfare. We have placed special emphasis on enhancing college infrastructure and prioritizing female health within our institution. Many of our projects, such as the organic garden and solar light installations, underscore our dedication to environmental sustainability. The college has taken keen interest in organizing the Alumni Association. It is a matter of great pride for us that several ex-students of this College, belonging to this remote and under-privileged area, have been able to achieve placements in various fields -- School Teachers in Primary, Secondary and higher Secondary Sections through examinations conducted by the School Service Commission, Govt. approved Part-timers; some of them are posted in CRPF, BSF, WBP, Assam Rifles, Indian Army, Indian Railway, Civic Police; in Nursing and in IT professions in companies like TCS, as Junior Scientist in ISRO, in Multi-national companies like Bureau Veritas (Mumbai), ARC GIS, TMT MIPS and so on. Many of them are engaged in private business also. Some of the ex-students are either doing or have completed Post-Graduation as regular students in various Universities like the University of Burdwan, KaziNazrul University, RabindraBharati University, Silchar University. Few have cleared NET/SET.The Alumni Association of the College keeps their meeting yearly and the members are closely connected with each other. College has tried recently to reach out to more students through a page in social media like Facebook. The college is too young to have any retired teacher, but few have joined in other colleges or University and are personally closely connected with the present faculties.
